everything is really backwards in europe!

after living in germany for a few weeks now i've come to notice a few cultural differences. the first one being that married people wear their rings on their right hand. we have london driving on the opposite side of the road and germany wearing their rings on the opposite hand. i just thought it was interesting. 

another thing i've noticed is that people put cucumbers on everything here. the other day i was walking to the subway station and saw a guy eating a sausage in a bun with cucumbers on top. strange. also, i saw probably a 70 year old man on a razor scooter in the subway. he was just scooting along waiting for the train to come. so funny!

probably the hardest thing that i've had to get used to is the toilets. this may sound strange but the first time i went to the bathroom i had a heart attack. the toilets here don't have much water in them. in fact there is only a small hole in the front which actually has water. use your imagination and this photo to get what i mean :) notice there is no water in the bottom of the toilet. AHHHHH!

i've also learned to understand the europeans a little better. i totally get why they don't shave, they need all the extra body heat they can get in the winter! ha ha. not quite sure what their excuse is in the summer.
